Starting on 28th January 2009, St Mary's University College will be offering those new to people management and those without any formal management training the opportunity to obtain a nationally recognised management qualification.

The Award in First Line Management, accredited by the Institute of Leadership in Management will be delivered by Nick Oliver from Frontfire Training. Over the course of 12 weeks, delegates will cover all aspects of people management from performance management to decision-making and motivation.

Assessment is through a mix of work-based assignments, presentations and reviews, and tutorial support is available throughout. Those who successfully complete the Award may then progress to the ILM Certificate in First Line Management.
